Epiphany welcomes Eve Miller Beck to our team of talented massage therapists. Eve has been practicing massage therapy in Berks County since 2004. Eve’s practice focuses on helping people manage emotional distress (anxiety, panic, depression, trauma etc), allowing them to live a fuller, happier life.
Eve chose to become a massage therapist after battling her own anxiety issues for years. After trying many different treatments (meditation, talk therapy, medication and more) to ease her symptoms, massage and Trauma Touch Therapy was ultimately what worked and changed her life. Through these forms of bodywork, she learned how to relax, “let go,” breathe deeply, and that much of her emotional stuff could be helped by focusing on the body.
Over Memorial Day 2017, Eve travelled to Denver, Colorado to become trained in Trauma Touch Therapy (TTT), a somatic, body-centered therapy used to help trauma survivors connect body and mind and further their healing. She is currently in the externship process for this amazing modality and will be accepting new clients for TTT in November 2017.
Before her massage therapy career, she worked for a social service agency helping victims of domestic and sexual violence. She understands the importance of confidentiality and the need for a safe, secure space. She is familiar with emotional reactions to trauma and distress. Know that you are in safe hands with Eve.
Eve loves to meet new people, hang out with great friends, read, dance, eat, bake and play with her adorable and amazing children and husband. Her favorite holiday is April Fool’s Day. Her favorite food is french fries. She is slightly obsessed with her Kindle and making Indian food.
